When did you first become interested in conservation?
It goes back to when I was 12 when my family took me to visit Khao Yai national park for holidays. I remember that the air was so clean and if I get up early in the morning to catch the the sunrise, there would be fogs with the Mountain View, and animals roaming around the park. I remember feeling so connected to the wild and just loving the moment. But, that scenery became so rare these days. The weather is getting warmer, the air is no longer clean, and less animals roaming around since there are so many infrastructures now too. That was the first realization for me to be more conscious about the environment and all lives in this planet.
What are some of your favourite things about working at Wildchain?
My favourite thing about working at Wildchain would be their work culture! At Wildchain everybody encouraged me to execute the work on my own whether it’s a deep research on something, or writing a piece of content. There was not a single “you cannot do this” there at Wildchain. I sincerely believe that it’s a great culture because not only did I get to do the “real” work, but I also learned to cope with things by myself before asking for help.
Any special memories from your time at Wildchain?
My first team dinner with Wildchain was definitely the most special moments for me as I was still “new” to the team, but I felt so welcomed on that day.
Favourite animal? Hedgehog
Anastasia is responsible for the Events & Marketing side of Wildchain. She was born in USSR, where circuses and zoos were the most well-known kids’ source of entertainment. At the age of 13 she left Moscow to relocated to the UK. After graduating from Northumbria University with a Bachelors degree in Advertising and Media, she began working on projects in Czech Republic, Switzerland, UAE and Thailand. She loves the fact that Wildchain raises awareness and promotes people to take actions for wildlife conservation out of love, not based on fear.
