Mirko Zuerker is a Senior Project Manager at adelphi leading projects in the field of Sustainability Entrepreneurship, Green Finance and Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP). He is Head of adelphi’s Bangkok office and Head of Programme Development at SEED a global partnership founded by UN Environment, UNDP and IUCN hosted by adelphi. In his projects around Green Finance and SCP in Asia he designs and implements participatory dialogue processes and advises businesses and financers on subjects around cleantech innovation and resource efficiency.
Mirko coined the term toolification as he developed more than 10 practitioner toolkits on topics such as sustainability entrepreneurship, inclusive innovation, business modelling, organisational development, cleantech financing and cleaner production. In this role as trainer and facilitator he lead and facilitated multiple high-level conferences, workshops and trainings across Africa and Asia. His clients include Europeaid, UNIDO, ADB, Siemens Stiftung, Rockefeller Foundation, CEMEX, GIZ as well as other bilateral development organisations and international organisations.
Before joining adelphi, Mirko worked as freelance journalist for multiple media outlets and conducted policy analysis in his work at the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government of Germany and at the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation in China. He studied political science, economics and Chinese studies in Munich, Shanghai and Madrid and completed a post-graduate programme, focusing on adult education and business ethics at the Munich School of Philosophy. Mirko is certified in Capacity WORKS.
